Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can we visit and view the cattery before I book my cat in?
Yes! We welcome visitors to tour our facilities and ask any questions. Please contact us to schedule a visit.
-
What happens if I have more than one cat?
Two cats from the same household are welcome to stay together in the same room. If you book multiple rooms, there are cat tunnels between rooms that can be opened during their stay so cats from the same household can visit each other.
Cats from different households will not come into contact with each other at any point of their stay.
-
Does my cat need to be vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms?
Yes, all cats must be vaccinated within the last year and the vaccination certificate must be shown at arrival.
All cats must be treated for fleas and worms prior to 48 hours before arrival. If fleas/worms are found on your cat and we need to treat it during their stay, this charge will be added to the bill.
-
What do we need to bring to the cattery?
Your cat’s vaccination certificate, a safe carrier, and one or two toys or blankets! Things that carry the smell of home and their favorite treats will help them feel comforted and relaxed during their stay.
We provide eating and drinking bowls, a selection of quality cat food and treats, litter boxes, bedding and toys.
-
Do I need to provide food? What if my cat eats special or prescribed food?
We encourage families to provide food for their cat’s stay as this provides familiarity and comfort in a new environment. If you bring dry/wet/raw food for your cat and we will feed your cat as per your instructions.
We still provide a selection of quality cat kibble, this includes: Royal Canin, Hills Science and Animals Like Us
-
What if my cat is very timid and anxious and scared of other cats?
We understand every cat is unique and some may take longer to adjust to new surroundings. We take great care to get to know each cat's needs to help them have a happy and safe stay.
Rest assured cats from different households will not come into contact at any point, and Feliway is also used on premise.
-
What happens if my cat gets unwell during their stay at the cattery?
In unlikely medical emergencies, we will contact you (or your emergency contact) first and if appropriate, arrange a vet visit to your usual vet or our local emergency clinic; this will be at the owners expense. We do not accept any liabilities for any illness, injury or loss for any reason during or after their stay. You must notify us of all medical issues known about your cat.
We always strive to provide the best care for your cat.
-
How will I know how my cat is doing during their stay?
We will provide plenty of updates throughout their stay so you wont miss any sleeping beauty poses or cheeky moments. Should you wish to have more updates we are always a message or call away.
